Mesozoic Valley
A Mysterious Rock appears on the Main Tree once the Tetrapod is unlocked. Tapping on the Rock repeatedly destroys it and unlocks the Mesozoic Valley: a new, separate simulation, in which a separate tech tree can be found.
Clicking the screen will generate Fossil Points at the rate of one per click, but they can be gained at a faster rate by clicking the arrow button on top of each dinosaur node in the tree.
Dinosaurs will not automatically generate shells without tapping until you unlock the corresponding Trait Cards. These traits automate production of Fossils for each dinosaur, removing the need to tap on the arrow button and increasing the productivity of each dinosaur. Trait Cards are improved and upgraded using Mutagen, a currency gained by purchasing a certain number of dinosaurs.
At the top of the screen are quests, which give the player goals like "Collect 25 Stegosaurus", "Upgrade 3 Traits", and "Photograph Archosaur". Three quests are displayed at a time, and with each rank more quests are required to be completed to advance to the next level. Once the quest is completed, the player will gain a new Geode containing Mutagen and Trait Cards.
After completing all quests for each rank of the Mesozoic Valley, you have the option to trigger an Extinction Event. When this happens, and asteroid falls from the sky, wiping out your dinosaurs and restart the valley in a fashion similar to the reboot triggered by the first Singularity. This allows the player to unlock new dinosaurs. It will also give you a Silver Geode, and increase the valley's Simulation Level by 1. Each additional rank of the Mesozoic Valley will increase the speed of the main simulation by 2%, and reaching certain ranks will also unlock additional bonus generators for the main sim.
Get as much Mutagen as possible at each level!! (by completing all quest targets and then getting as many remaining dinosaurs as possible up to threshold numbers like 50, 100, 150 or 250)
The difficulty increases at later game...
Types of Dinosaurs
The following table shows some info about the Dinosaurs. "Cost" indicates the amount of Fossils needed to buy the first copy of each dinosaur. The cost increases by 15% each time a new copy is bought. The cost can be decreased by obtaining Traits.
"Gain" is the number of Fossils per dinosaur that are obtained each time the dinosaur cycle finishes. This amount increases when the corresponding payout Traits are activated.
"Duration" is the initial time for one cycle to be completed. It can be decreased by activating Traits. By activating the first duration decreasing Trait, the dinosaur cycle is automated.
"Unlock" is the rank needed to be able to buy the first copy of the dinosaur.
"Trait" is the ranks that are needed to unlock the single dinosaur Traits; automation/speed followed by payout.

Traits (incomplete)
Traits are cards that can upgrade dinosaurs at the cost of Mutagen. When you open Geodes, you can gain a mix of Mutagen, Darwinium and Traits.
Each Trait comes in varying levels of rarity, starting at common.
For each Trait, as you level it up using more cards, it will follow one of a few different paths:
Speed Path
-Automate
-Doubles production speed each upgrade
Payout Path
-Doubles payout each upgrade
Costs
Trait upgrades also have an associated cost, as follows:

Trivia
- Pterosaurs, Plesiosaurs, Mosasaurus, and Icthyosaurus are not dinosaurs, which is why they are offshoots of the Archosaur node. These creatures belong to sister clades to dinosaurs.
- The Cynodont is also not a type of dinosaur, but a proto-mammal. Dinosaurs and other Archosaurs (such as the above listed creatures) are Diapsids whilst Cynodonts are Therapsids. These non-dinosaur creatures are included in the Mesozoic Valley to show the diversity of species during the era, as an example of the other organisms alive at the time.
