Mammals are any warmblooded amniote tetrapods belonging in the class Mammalia and the only extant group in the clade Sypapsida. They are distinguished by being warmblooded, having mammary glands, and fur. Mammals include the monotremes (egg-laying mammals), and the therians (marsupials and placental mammals, including humans).
