The Eoraptor is the 22nd Dinosaur obtained in the Mesozoic Valley Bubble Universe, which can generate Fossil. (Unlocked at Rank 39, branching off of Velociraptor)

In Game Description[]

"Eoraptor is one of the earliest known dinosaurs. It lived approximately 231—228 million years ago, during the late Triassic period. This small, quick omnivore lived alongside archosaurs, proto-mammals, and other early dinosaurs."

Traits[]

Common[]

  • Heterodont Dentition (Speed):

"Eoraptors had what is called heterodont dentition: teeth suited both for eating meat and for eating vegetation. This meant Eoraptor was an omnivore, giving it an evolutionary advantage over pure herbivores or carnivores."

  • True Fossil (Payout):

"Eoraptor is one of the earlist-known dinosaurs. Only six percent of all fossils from the time period when Eoraptor lived (the late Triassic) are dinosaurs. They were outnumbered by archosaurs and therapsids until the Jurassic period."

Rare[]

  • Bipedal (Speed):

"A creature that walks on two legs, with an upright posture, is called a biped. Some dinosaurs were bipedal, including Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, and Hadrosaur. A bipedal gait gave these dinosaurs increased speed and flexibility."

  • Herbivore (Payout):

"Animals that feed entirely on plant matter are called herbivores. About half of all dinosaurs were herbivores. They had teeth that were specially designed for grinding leaves, twigs, and shoots."

  • Carnivore (Payout):

"Animals that feed entirely on meat, or the flesh of other animals, are called carnivores. About half of dinosaurs were carnivores. With teeth specially designed for ripping and tearing, some carnivores were hunters, while others were scavengers."

  • Triassic Age (Discount):

"The Triassic (251.9 MYA—201.3 MYA) was the first period of the Mesozoic Era. While the first half of this period was devastated by the Permian-Triassic Extinction Event, the second half is marked by increased diversity and the first appearances of dinosaurs."

Epic[]

  • Hollow Bones (Speed):

"The development of hollow or semi-hollow bones gave some dinosaurs a lighter but stronger skeletal system. This development would later enable them to evolve the ability to fly."

  • Herd Behavior (Payout):

"Some dinosaurs congregated in social groups, living in loose family units for defense against predators."

  • Feathers (Discount):

"It is still unknown to what extent therapodian dinosaurs were feathered, but evidence exists that shows that at least some of them presented with varying degrees of feathery skin coverings."

  • Warm Climate (Payout):

"During the Mesozoic Era, the Earth's temperature was very warm, which led to a great amount of geological and biological transitions. This climate set the stage for the major changes of the era."

Achievements[]

  • Voyage of the Dawn Thief (75 Eoraptors):

"Eoraptor lunensis means "Dawn Thief from the Valley of the Moon" in Latin. It was discovered in the Valle de la Luna in Argentina, and is one of the first dinosaurs known from the Dawn of the Mesozoic Era—giving it this totally awesome name."

  • The Gang's All Here (200 Eoraptors):

"The earliest dinosaurs appeared in the Carnian stage of the Upper Triassic Period and were small, bipedal, and were opportunistic omnivores. They were dwarfed in population size by archosaurs, ichthyosaurs, therapsids, and crocodylomorphs"

Wikipedia's Info[]

Eoraptor (/ˈiːoʊˌræptər/) is a genus of small, lightly built, basal sauropodomorph. One of the earliest-known dinosaurs, it lived approximately 231 to 228 million years ago, during the Late Triassic in Western Gondwana, in the region that is now northwestern Argentina.

Paleontology world:

The Eoraptor, was given the name raptor but it has no relations to the Velociraptor or any dromaeosauridea.
